$1 billion to be invested in construction of Odessa-Reni highway
The Ukrainian government has included a construction of the Odessa-Reni highway to the state plan to build roads, the governor of Odessa Region, Mykola Serdyuk, said. The highway will run on the Ukrainian territory which will help to get from Odessa to Reni without having to cross Moldova. The project also includes a construction of a bridge, whose length will total 4.5 kilometres, through the Dniester estuary. The estimated cost of the project amounts to more than 1bn dollars. The state will contribute 15 per cent of the sum. According to the governor, five foreign companies from China and Western Europe have expressed interest in the project.
