Air Moldova, Aerosvit to resume flights between Chisinau and Kiev
The Air Moldova state company has received a permit from Ukraine's aviation authorities for resuming its fights to Kiev from May 16 after a four-year break.
The Air Moldova administration told Infotag that flights will be made on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays in an Embraer 120 airplane. The departure from Chisinau will be at 8:30 and the return - at 11:50. All the passengers of the first flight on May 16 will receive a certificate for one free flight in one direction on this line before the end of the year.
As Infotag has already reported, The "Aerosvit" Ukrainian company will implement flights to Chisinau (Kiev-Chisinau- Kiev line) on the part of Ukraine on a parity basis. The flights had to be resumed as far back, as on March 28, but it was put off.
Air Moldova is the largest air company in the republic. It was set up in 1993. The company has airplanes А-320, Embrair, YaK-40. It makes regular flights to 16 such cities as Moscow, London, Rome, Lisbon, the Athens. In 2007 the company carried more than 317 thousand passengers. In March the company carried over 24.6 thousand passengers - 22% more than a year ago.
