Average salary in Moldova goes up 7.9%
The average salary in Moldova reached 2.91 thousand lei (US$242.5) for January-September, which is 7.9% more in comparison to the last year.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the average salary in state-financed organizations went up to 2.526 thousand lei, and in the real economy sector to 3.13 thousand lei.
The average salary in the education sector went up 14.8% during the year - to 2.351 thousand lei, in the health and social protection sector - up 6.7% (to 2.817 thousand lei).
The highest salaries are, as usual, in the financial sector - 6.131 thousand lei (+9.7%); in the heating, electricity and water supply sector - 4.779 thousand lei (+5.9%), in transports and communications - 3.872 thousand lei (+6.5%).
The salary reduction is observed in the mining industry - down 3.2% (to 3.276 thousand lei), and in the public administration - down 1% (3.138 thousand lei).
The lowest salaries are provided in the fish breeding sector 1.503 thousand lei (+2.4%), in agriculture and forestry - 1.528 thousand lei (+10%).
