Cadastre Agency created Moldova's electronic map

A detailed electron map of Moldova is available to any Internet user since Friday. The Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre (ALRC) - the map developer - has placed it on the web site www.geoportal.md.

At a press conference, map designer Andrey Yakovlev said that it will be permanently renewed, so the information it provides will be trustworthy.

"The main map's advantage is that it is not only visual, but the information one too. For example, now, one can see not only where a lake is placed, but to read data on it (depth, fish, whether one can swim in). Of course, it is not enough loaded information so far, but we will permanently add it", Head of the State Environmental Inspectorate Gheorghe Priscaru said.

Representative of the National Tourism Agency Sergiu Iordan said the importance of the map can scarcely be overestimated and it will have a positive influence on the tourism development in Moldova.
