Crude oil prices slip Wednesday
Crude oil prices eased back on the New York Mercantile Exchange Wednesday morning, as weak economies continue to point to falling demand.
Crude oil prices fell $1.70 overnight to $48.74 per barrel, nearly $100 below the peak price of $147.27 set last July. Heating oil prices gained 0.013 cents to $1.6393 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline rose 0.0062 cents to $1.1954 per gallon. Natural gas prices gained 0.066 cents to $6.049 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $1.727 Wednesday, up from Tuesday's $1.688 a gallon, AAA said.
