Depositors of Banca de Economii born before 1954 can take their indexed savings
The depositors of Banca de Economii born before 1954 that submitted applications for being registered in June 2008 can take their indexed savings at any local office or branch of the bank as from July 14. The depositors that filed applications by May 1 can receive their deposits indexed at the first stage in continuation.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the depositors of Banca de Economii born before 1961 can submit applications to any local office of Banca de Economii also from July 14. The deadline is December 30, 2008.
The indexed sums are paid in stages, depending on the year of birth of the depositor. At the first stage, the depositor gets 1,000 lei for the first 1,000 rubles of the cumulative balance on all the accounts owned by the depositor. At the second stage, the depositor receives 2.5 rubles per 1 leu for the rest of the balance.//REPORTER.MD
