Each second employed in Moldova works in service sector
Each second employed person in Moldova in 2007 worked in the service sector, while each third - in agriculture, the National Bureau of Statistics said.
The people working in industry made up 14%, while in the construction sector - 5.7%.
According to statistics, 68.0% of the population at the end of 2007 worked in private companies, 28.1% - in public companies and 3.9% - in joint companies.
The working population in 2007 totaled about 1.154 million. The number of working men and women was practically the same. The working population in rural areas made up 53.7%, while in urban areas – 46.3%./ // Reporter.MD
