Eventis Mobile could be sold for US$80 million
Eventis Telecom intends to sell the major holding in Eventis Mobile, the mobile phone company working in the GSM 900/1800 MHz standard in Moldova, the Russian publication “Vedomosti” reports.
According to the quoted source, Tele2 of Sweden and T-Mobile of Germany seem interested in buying shares in Eventis Mobile.
As the Russian press reports, the owners of Eventis Mobile want to earn up to US$80 million from the sale. Russian analysts say that the sum is exaggerated given that the real cost of the company is US$3 million.
Eventis won a license to provide CSM mobile phone services in Moldova in 2006. So far, it has invested about US$35 million.
