First construction stage on Balti-Ungheni gas main completed
The first constriction stage on the Balti-Ungheni high pressure main gas pipeline has been finished. The 62 kilometers of pipeline built in Sangerei and Falesti districts during the first stage will supply natural gas to 120 settlements.
The announcement was made by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Tudor Copaci at a meeting with representatives of Moldovatransgaz, Gaz Proiect and district council presidents on November 12.

According to Copaci, 120 million lei out of the 250 million lei earmarked has been so far used to build the pipeline.
The gas pipeline will be 126 kilometers in length. It will supply natural gas to 250 settlements in Sangerei, Falesti, Telenesti, and Ungheni districts.
A number of 915 Moldovan settlements have been gasified until present. This is 60% of the total number of settlements. The gas pipelines existing in the country are over 5,000 kilometers in length. REPORTER.MD
