First transnistrian enterprises receive credits owing to Russia’s financial aid
The Transnistria Republican Bank (PRB) has begun giving credits for the development of the agrarian sector. It was Russia, which granted financial resources to Transnistria for this purpose – 220.5 million rubles (USD9 million) as a humanitarian aid to liquidate the consequences of the drought.
According to the PRB’s press service, credits can be used for the implementation of business-projects. Credits were granted to three enterprises out of 15 enterprises, which were approved by the bank board.
The Mitbor company will receive 5.81 million Russian rubles and the Intertsentrlux and the Filtr-agro – 1.3 million and 1.13 million respectively via the Savings Bank.
The total sum of the approved business projects is USD5.5 million. There are seven more applications from Transnistrian agricultural producers for the remaining USD3.5 million.
The projects envisage the planting of new vineyards, acquiring agricultural machinery and irrigation systems, as well as driers and a mill.
As Infotag has already reported, credit with a 5% interest rate, repayable within 5 years, will be granted for acquiring main means of production and processing of agricultural products. The collected financial resources will be transferred to a special fund for further crediting. // Infotag
