GM aims to sell 100,000 Chevrolets in Germany
Peter Sommer, Chevrolet Germany Managing Director, told Die Welt newspaper that General Motors Corp wants to reach sales level of Chevrolets in Germany of 100,000 cars within 7 years.
Chevrolet's European sales in 2006 helped to push General Motors' overall European sales over the 2 million mark for the first time, sales rising 15.6 percent to more than 341,000 cars, including 23,132 in Germany, informs Reuters.
Sommer added that Chevrolet plans to increase over the next two years the number of dealers in Germany from 300 to between 350 and 360, and the number of outlets to 600, from 450 now.
