Imports of Romanian goods up over 60%
Imports from Romania over January-July this year added up to about US$355 million, an increase of over 60% compared with the corresponding period last year. Romania is Moldova’s second largest import partner with a share of 12.8% of the imports.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, imports from Ukraine made up 17% of the total imports into Moldova. They came to US$473 million, up 34%.
Imports from Russia made up 12.6% of the imports (US$350 million), from Germany – 7.7%, from Italy – 6.8%, from China - 6%, from Turkey - 5%, from Belarus – 4.5%, from Poland – 2.4%, from France – 2.3%, from the United States – 1.7%, etc.
Imports from the European Union totaled US$1.234,2 million (44.4% of the total imports), an increase of 40.7% year on year. Imports from the CIS states totaled US$972.7 million (35% of the total imports), a 39% rise.
The imports of mineral products made up 22.3% of the total imports, of machines and electrical appliances - 15%, of chemical products – 8.9%, of units of transport – 8.3%, of common metals - 8%, of food products, beverages and tobacco - 7%.
January-July imports totaled US$2.779,8 billion, an increase of 45.2% compared with the same period last year. REPORTER.MD
