Industrial production at 8.9bn lei in four months
The industrial enterprises of all forms of ownership during the first four months of this year manufactured products worth 8.6 billion lei in current prices, a 7.2% increase compared with the corresponding period last year.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the enterprises of the food and beverages industry increased production levels by 14%, while those of the energy sector by 9.2%. They account for 34% and, respectively, 16.9% of the total industrial output.
Wine production rose 1.8 times, making up 7.7% of the total industrial production; production of distilled alcoholic drinks 1.8 times (3.4%), of electric power by 6% (10.8%), of bread and bakery products by 13.9% (3.7%), of dairy products by 9.2% (4.1%).
At the same time, the production of oils and fats decreased by 21.6%, of glass and glass objects by 20.3%, of tobacco products by 17.6%, of canned fruit and vegetables by 28.2% // Reporter.MD
