Investments in Moldova' basic capital increases
Investments in the basic capital, designed for the development of the national economy of Moldova, constituted 7.52 billion lei (USD660 million), they increased by 28.7% against the same period of 2006.
According to the National Bureau for Statistics, more than 1/3 of investments was made by private enterprises - 2.84 billion lei. State-owned enterprise ranked second - 2.4 billion lei, joint ventures ranked third - 1.4 million lei.
The main sources for investment activities were economic entities' financial resources - 56.3%, foreign investments constituted - 16.7%, budget allocations - about 15%.
About 40% of investments (2.95 billion lei) were made into the construction of buildings and structures, 29.3% (2.2 billion lei) - into the acquisition of machinery and equipment, 23% (1.76 billion lei) - into housing construction.
For nine months 350.5 thousand square meters of dwelling space were put into operation, 71.8% of it - in Chisinau. // Infotag
