Lion Gri presents flourishing Moldova stand at Prodexpo-2008
The Lion Gri winemaking Company from Moldova presented its own stand at the Prodexpo exhibition, which was opened in Moscow on Monday.
Lion Gri Vice-Director Nelli Sonic told Infotag that the objective of the stand is to demonstrate the entire range of Moldova’s fertility – flowers, fruits, vegetables, wine and nature.
“We demonstrate by our participation in the exhibition the return of Moldovan wines to the Russian market, which is waiting for Moldovan wines and where they enjoy a high demand”, Sonic said.
Lion Gri presents a new Felicita brand at the Prodexpo. It is represented by two lines of wines.
“In the frame of the first line we presented Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot and Golden Lion Desert nectar wine”, Sonic says.
This group is represented by high-quality wines for medium prices. The second line includes semi-dry and semi-sweet wines, light aromatic wines - Sauvignon, Chardonnay, as well as a new wine of Lion Gri - Cabernet a la white or white Cabernet, made from a special grape variety.
The Lion Gri Vice-President says that the Prodexpo-2008 has for Moldovan winemakers a character of “great expectation” and “great hopes”.
“We (winemakers, Russian dealers and consumers) are expecting very much from this exhibition. We did not even know, whether Moldovan wine exports to Russia would be resumed”, Sonic said.
In the frame of the Russian exhibition the Lion Gri company will conduct a master class of its wines, where tens of trade representatives, dealing with the sale of the Lion Gri wines, from various corners of Russia are invited.
At this action, which will take place on Wednesday, on February 13, we shall present our traditional wines – Chardonnay, Cabernet-Sauvignon champagne, made according to the classical French technology, of 2004”, the company manager remarked.
Nelli Sonic said that the company offered a number of its wines for the contest, which will take place in the frame of the Prodexpo-2008 and hopes in high results during the wine tasting.
Besides Lion Gri such Moldovan wine companies as the Milestii Mici, Cricova, Acorex Wine Holding, DK-Intertrade, Imperial Vin, Vismos are participating in the exhibition.
All in all, more than 40 Moldovan companies are participating in the exhibition in the frames of the national stand. // Infotag
