Loans worth 1.45bn lei released in June

Banks this June granted loans worth 1.45 billion lei, an increase of 3% compared with a month before. 82.8% of the loans were released in national currency.

According to the National Bank of Moldova, the loans offered in lei for a period of over 12 months made up 46.5% of the total loans, while those granted in lei for up to one month – 31%.

The loans in foreign currency released to legal entities in June totaled US$93.9 million (945.7m lei), a rise of US$15.7 million on May. The loans offered for a period of over 12 months made up 77.8% of the total loans, while those granted for up to one month - 9.4%.

The average interest rate on loans offered in national currency rose by 0.99% to 21.11%. The average rate on loans granted to legal entities increased by 1.09% to 21.04%, while the average rate on loans given to individuals – by 0.66%, to 21.45%.

The average interest rate on loans offered to legal entities grew by 0.32% to 11.71%.//REPORTER.MD
