March inflation in Transnistria reaches 1.04%


Prices in the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan republic (PMR) went up 1.04% in March 2011 against the February indicator.

According to the regional ministry of economy, the most price increase was observed for non-foodstuff (up 1.79%). The prices on foodstuff went up 1.03%, and on services - 0.34%.

Since the beginning of 2011, the cumulative inflation level reached 7.02%, including 10.54% - on services, 6.09% - on non-foodstuff, and 5.19% - on foodstuff.

The 2010 regional inflation reached 13.24%. And it is forecasted at the 12% level in 2011.
