Marian Lupu consider Russian ban on agriculture imports from Moldova as non-political
"The Russia's ban on importing Moldovan vegetables and fruits has no political painting", leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova Marian Lupu said.
Lupu said in press conference on Thursday the problem "must be solved in favour of local producers and not of some party".
"There is important that respective institutions would find out why the situation occurred, and to see what is the problem: Moldova or Russia. We shall certainly increase the number of companies authorized to export to Russia. 136 companies were importing last years, and we got only 33 companies this year for very interesting reasons. That is bad", Lupu said.
He also said he is glad that Vladimir Filat held a meeting with Tiraspol leader Igor Smirnov on Tuesday.
In the eve of the 19th anniversary of Moldova's independence, Lupu said the biggest achievement is "the consolidation of notions "state" and "state consciousness of population". He added there is a chance that "some people will attack the Moldovan legislation as a state, but have smallest chances".
