MOLDCELL expands coverage area
Moldova.ORG -- During 4 months, MOLDCELL Company has put into operation 11 more GSM stations that allowed to expand and improve the coverage area.
The installed stations have contributed to a more rational traffic distribution, to raise the quality of signal, to increase the speed of data transfer, as well as to expand the network in the following regions:
In April of this year, MOLDCELL has put into operation an independent HLR (Home Location Register) node, thanks to which all MOLDCELL subscribers will now have the possibility to more rapidly activate voice, data transfer, MMI and other services. This platform allows us to serve about 4 times more subscribers (3 million).
Comparing with the last year, the network capacity has increased by 51%. The coverage area of MOLDCELL network presently encompasses 93 per cent of territory and 94 per cent of population of the Republic of Moldova.
