Moldcell: Instant Roaming, without advance payment!
As of July 16, 2007, Alocard users benefit from a new generation of Roaming service based on CAMEL technology, which implies a number of advantages for all clients, such as: facility of access and usage, immediate and advantageous charging, the possibility of account checking and, last but not least, lack of formalities.
Alocard Roaming is available to all Alocard users who, having at least 50 lei in their accounts, want to travel to the most popular destinations without losing touch with their dearest ones.
Facility of access and usage:
Roaming service activation can be performed directly from the mobile phone, by means of USSD technology. The user should dial *222#ok and select ACTIVATE option from the presented menu. As soon as it is activated, the service is immediately available and does not require the client’s visiting of a Moldcell Center in order to draw up his documents and effect the advance payment. Service users will be able to use their mobile numbers while in Roaming easily and comfortably, and they will not have to deactivate the service after returning to the country.
Immediate and advantageous charging:
The charging of calls and SMS messages is performed online, which is of maximal convenience for the clients. They will be able to use mobile communication services while in Roaming for as long as they have more than 0 lei in their accounts, without facing an eventual recalculation of Roaming expenses upon coming back to Moldova.
Along with the launch of the new generation service Alocard Roaming, Moldcell also proposes a charging policy in Roaming, which is extremely easy to understand, monitor and use. As of July 16, Moldcell offers unified tariffs for Alocard Roaming that will differ just by their zones and will not depend on the client’s choice of the Roaming partner.
In other words: when travelling to Ukraine, where Moldcell provides the possibility of Roaming with several operators (Life, Kievstar), an Alocard user will be communicating at the same tariff, regardless of the network he has chosen. Moreover, the client can change the Roaming network for as many times as he wants, communicating at the same tariff fixed for the zone Ukraine belongs to. A zone includes several countries; so traveling in the same way from one country to another without leaving the zone, the client will be communicating at the same unified tariff. The unified tariff allows clients to monitor and control their expenses.
The possibility of account check and refill
Alocard Roaming service allows clients to check their accounts for free, as many times as the client wants. In order to do it, the user needs to dial *444#ok and he will find out how many lei there are in his GSM account.
While in Roaming, Alocard users will be able to refill their accounts by means of Alocard scratch cards purchased before leaving the country and by means of Thank You! service permitting to Moldcell clients who are in Moldova to refill the user’s account.
SMS in Roaming – an exclusive option on Moldovan prepaid market
With Alocard Roaming service, the clients will benefit not only from voice services while in Roaming. Moldcell offers an exclusive possibility of using SMS in Roaming to the users of prepaid (scratch card based) packages.
Till the end of this week 7 countries are available, (Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Spain, Czech Republic, Uzbekistan) which, judging from statistical data, represent the most popular destinations, whereas the number of destinations is planned to grow progressively.
CAMEL technology (Customized Applications for Mobile Enhanced Logic) is already used by most European countries, offering its clients maximum comfort and pleasure while in Roaming. In November of 2006, MOLDCELL announced the launch of CAMEL technology, the initial stage, allowing the clients of Megafon (Russia), Turkcell (Turkey), Proximus (Belgium), etc. (at present, 14 operators from 11 countries) to use Roaming service in Moldova based on CAMEL technology.
