Moldova exported wine products worth US$115m in seven months

Moldova’s exports of wine products over the first seven months of this year doubled in value compared with the corresponding period last year.

According to the Agroindustrial Agency "Moldova-Vin", the wine exports rose from about US$62 million to approximately US$115 million.

The CIS states continue to absorb most of Moldova’s wine exports. Exports to the Commonwealth of Independent States during January-July totaled over US$97 million. This is about 84% of the total wine exports.

Exports to the European Union came to over US$13 million, making up 11% of the total exports.

Moldova’s exports to Russia added up to US$36 million, to Ukraine - over US$28 million, to Belarus – US$25 million. Among other countries importing Moldovan wine products are Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic and others. REPORTER.MD
