Moldova: Gasoline and diesel should decrease in price

Larisa Muntean/ Chişinău / Moldova.ORG/ -- Moldovans oilmen are less honest when it comes to lowering oil prices.

They are more reluctant to lower prices on local markets in response to developments in international oil markets.

At least so says economic expert, Adrian Lupus, in his express-analysis.

The expert highlights that lower prices of oil on international commodity markets, which started in May and continues today, did not cause corresponding adjustments in prices on the Moldovan market.

"Certainly this situation allows companies to obtain big profits, which indicates some deviations from the rules of market economy", says expert from analytical center "Expert-Grup".

Also, oil companies react more visible when oil is getting more expensive, says expert.

As a result of the increase in international prices this year the price of A-95 gasoline increased by 17.3% and the diesel fuel - by 18.3%.
