Moldova - Latvia cooperation gaining momentum
The leaderships of Moldova and Latvia have been in a constructive dialog, and such kind of interaction needs to be developed between the two countries' business circles s well, it was said at the meeting Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin had today with the President of Latvia Vaira Vike-Freiberga. Both leaders are attending a Global Forum taking place in Stockholm.
Vaira Vike-Freiberga highly appreciated Moldova's efforts to achieve a better integration into Europe, and said Latvia would be rendering assistance to Moldova in that direction.
Vladimir Voronin said that on May 10-11 Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev will visit Riga at the head of a delegation that will attend a Moldo-Latvian economic forum. The two countries will sign agreements on bilateral cooperation in the information technologies and on cooperation between the Moldovan and Latvian Ministries of Justice.
During his 3-day official visit to Sweden ending today, President Vladimir Voronin attended a presentation of Moldovan wines in Stockholm. // Infotag
