Moldova participates in economic forum in St. Petersburg
Moldova will participate in an international economic forum held in St Petersburg on 4-6 June.
Acting First Deputy Prime Minister, Economics and Trade Minister Igor Dodon will represent the country at this event.
The Economics and Trade Ministry's (MEC) public relations service has said that leaders of governments, companies and enterprises from over 60 countries, including the USA, Austria, Brazil, China, Switzerland, South Africa, the United Kingdom, etc. will participate in the forum.
The forum's agenda will include more subjects focused on: oil price, modern logistic systems, dialogue between economic agents from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries, energy efficiency, social policy, market and financial projects, investments, as well as the new model of market economy, in the context of the world economic crisis.
During the visit to St Petersburg, Dodon will meet Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Aleksey Kudrin and Russian Economic Development Minister Elvira Nabyulina. The sides will discuss the financial practices and instruments used to overcome the international economic and financial crisis, and mitigate the consequences of this phenomenon.
The annually conducted international economic forum from St Petersburg is at its 13th issue, and represents the most important event for foreign investors of Russia.
