Moldova to assembly Belarus trolleybuses, in addition to tractors
The Moldovan-Belarusian trolleybus may appear following the Moldovan-Belarusian tractor.
According to Belarusian mass media, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Bambiza expressed his interest in organizing a joint Moldovan-Belarusian venture on the assembly of trolleybuses and other transport means in Moldova.
While assessing the results of the 12th sitting of the Inter-governmental Belarusian-Moldovan Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which was just concluded in Mink, he underscored the importance of such project, as a specialized tractor for gardens and vineyards, which was especially worked out by Belarusians for Moldova, where this tractor is assembled.
Vice-Premier, Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar considers that this project is in line with the logic of using Moldova's possibilities for the access to the European market. In his opinion, both the tractor, as well as trolleybus will also be in demand at the markets of neighboring countries - Romania and Bulgaria.
In 2009 the Chisinau tractor plant assembled just 41 tractors.
