Moldovan parliament's 2011 budget worth 71 million lei

The parliament's permanent bureau approved the inclusion of the parliament's 2011 draft budget on the agend.

The parliament's secretary-general, Adrian Fetescu, unveiled a draft law on the budget of the parliament and parliamentary factions for 2011, which sees over 71 million lei in spending. Fetescu said that almost 70 per cent of this money will be spent to pay the salaries, another 12 million will be used for services and 11 million lei to maintain the parliament's cars.

He stressed that the budget is almost identical to the 2010 one; the only difference is that about 1 million lei will be earmarked for salary increase in 2011, if the lawmakers operate amendments to the legislation in force.

At the parliament meeting on 31 March, the lawmakers are to approve the 2011 state budget in the final reading.
