Moldovan wine exports to Romania up 54%
Moldova in the first half of this year exported alcoholic products worth US$2.947,4 million to Romania. This is 24.4% of Moldova’s January-June wine exports to the EU.
According to the Agroindustrial Agency “Moldova-Vin”, the first-half wine exports to Romania have increased by 54% compared with the corresponding period last year. Romania is Moldova’s second largest European import partner, after Poland. Wine exports to Poland over January-June 2008 totaled US$4.716,7 million (39% of the wine exports to the EU), up 72%.
Wine exports to the Czech Republic rose by 71% to US$1.410,5 million, making up 11.7% of the wine exports to the EU member states.
Wine exports to the EU added up to US$12.62 million. This is 12.4% of the total Moldovan wine exports.
The CIS countries imported Moldovan wine products worth US$83.842,2 million, Russia – US$30.610,8 million, Ukraine – US$25.322,1 million, Belarus – US$21.671,3 million.//REPORTER.MD
