Moldovan wines took gold medals at the Bordeaux Winexpo exhibition
Mariana Puzderi/ Chișinău / Moldova.ORG/ -- 11 Moldovan wine producers took part in the famous world exhibition in France.
Experts in the field of wine considered a success the presence of such a large number of Moldovan companies at this prestigious event.
It was for the first time our country wineries participated in a joint pavilion, at Winexpo World Exhibition, held annually in Bordeaux, France, from June 19 to 23. Costs are estimated at over 30,000 euros for the stand only.
Arpentin George, the president of the Moldovan Winery, says the participation at this very important event is worthy, despite the high costs.
WINE CONSUMPTION TREND SETTER EVENT
"The exhibition is more for image than for sale.
The most important wine distributors worldwide, who are acquainted with the newly appeared wines on the market, are present at this event.
It's an event that dictates wine consumption fashion for the next years",said George Arpentin.
For example, in recent years, at Bordeaux Winexpo were present representatives of many distribution companies from Asia, which is currently the most growing wine trade market worldwide.
The participants from our country organized wine tastings for visitors and specialists directly at the exhibition stand.
At the exhibition there was organized a wine competition, also, which the Bostavan Winery won several awards . Thus, the wines "Black Purcari 2007" and "White Purcari 2009" won gold medals, and "Pink Purcari 2010", the silver medal.
Victor Bostan, the Bostavan winery director, said the company he leads has taken part at the Bordeaux Winexpo for seven years, already, and this is an important bridge in launching the wine on foreign markets.
However, here you can agree signing advantageous contracts.
This time the Bostavan Winery presented seven wines.
During the five days of the exhibition there were conferences and product presentations held, and a special tasting of products "Tastings by Winexpo."
2,400 exhibitors from 47 countries, including France, Italy, Spain, Germany, USA, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, South Africa, Serbia, Slovakia, Malta, Norway, Sri Lanka. Eastern Europe are now 11 countries, including Moldova and Romania took part at Winexpo 2011.
