Moldova-Vin agency: alcohol output drops due to demand decrease
‘The output of alcoholic products dropped in January-April 2009 by over 30% against the same period of 2008 due to the decrease in the demand for these products abroad and the respective decline of sales’ Deputy Director of the Moldova-Vin agency Nicolae Taran said.
The requirements to alcoholic organizations were changed abroad.
The most considerable decline in sales is observed in Ukraine, less strong beverages are not sold, he added.
In January-April the output of Moldovan wineries dropped by 386.4 million lei. The output of strong beverages dropped almost twice to 79.9 million lei ($7.1 million).
