New auction to sell plots for Wine Town complex

A new auction to sell plots for the Wine Town complex will take place at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry in Chisinau on June 12.

According to the administrator of the complex Ilya Carabetchi, the 40 plots that will be auctioned occupy 0.0787 ha to 0.2664 ha and cost between 733,000 to 2.106 million lei, depending on the area and location.

Only national economic entities working in winemaking and winegrowing, tourism, public food, trade and amusement industry can take part in the auction. The applicants must submit a participation application accompanied by the copies of the state registration certificate, of the company’s status authenticated by the manager by stamp, and of the financial report for the previous year and for the first quarter of this year.

The economic entities must present a certificate showing that they have or do not have debts to the national public budget and to the state social insurance budget for the month coming before the month when the application was submitted. The participation fee is 200 lei.

The Wine Town project was initiated in 2005. The complex will be a modern recreational center with restaurants, tasting rooms, trading centers, representative offices of wine companies, hotels etc. It will be located near Codru town that forms part of the municipality of Chisinau, not far from the National Institute of Winegrowing and Winemaking. It is planned that the complex will be put in commission on the National Wine Day this year.
