Oil prices decline to $97.28 a barrel on Feb. 24

Crude oil prices fell a bit less than $1 to close at $97.28 a barrel. This is due to assurance from the International Energy Agency that it is prepared to release its emergency oil stockpiles to cover any shortfalls resulting from the turmoil in the Middle East. Nevertheless, investors remained cautious as Libya is in turmoil.
