Pensions in Moldova went up 7.8%
Starting from April 1, all categories of pensions are indexed by 7.8%. As Infotag has already reported, the minimum retirement pension was increased to 641 from 594.6 lei; and to 571 from 529.37 lei for agricultural workers. Pensions of persons with the 1st degree of disability were built up to 456-lei, of 2nd degree - to 440, of 3rd degree - to 310 lei.
Authorities index only a pension part, which is provided from the State Social Insurance Budget. One carries out the indexation, proceeding from the average inflation growth of last year (7.4%) and salary growth (8.2%). Social benefits were indexed by 7.4%. The State Social Insurance Budget provides 353.01 million lei and the State Budget provides 16.35 million for the pension indexation by 7.8%.
About 627.2 thousand pension recipients are registered in Moldova; 460.5 thousand of them are retired pensioners.
