Red Nord and Red Nord-Vest power-distrubuting enterprises may be privatized
The state electricity distributing enterprises - RED Nord and RED Nord-Vest - may be privatized. The statement was provided by representative of the Ministry of Economy (MoE) Vadim Ceban at the public debate in the National Energy Regulatory Agency of Moldova (ANRE) on Tuesday.
He said that one considers several options of developments - merger of enterprises or their privatization.
"A group of MoE experts works on the matter. They consider the possibility to exclude REDs [the power-distributing enterprises] from the list of objects that can not be subjected to privatization", Ceban said,
Infotag's dossier: The Union Fenosa company (Spain) won a tender to privatize the RE Chisinau, RED Centru and RED Sud power-distributing enterprises in 2000. Afterwards, it merged them in an enterprise named as RED Union Fenosa.
