Romania - largest importer of goods from Moldova in H1
Romania topped the list of the largest importers of products from Moldova in the first half of this year.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Romania accounted for 21% of Moldova’s exports. Moldova over January-June exported goods worth US$154.8 million to Romania, a 64.1% increase compared with the corresponding period last year.
The second largest importer was Russia with imports of US$49.5 million (20.3% of Moldova’s exports), up 50.6% year on year.
Among other large importers were Italy, whose imports made up 11.2% of Moldova’s exports (+28.1%), Ukraine – 8.6% (-4.1%), Belarus – 6.2% (+18.3%), Germany – 5.1% (- 2.8%), Poland – 3.2% (+15.9%), Kazakhstan – 2.8% (+14.4%), the UK – 2.5% (+2.4%), Turkey – 2.1% (- 15.7%).//REPORTER.MD
