Romanian Commercial Bank Chisinau is investing in the development of quality higher education
Romanian commercial bank Chisinau S.A. (BCR Chisinau), together with the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Moldova, has unveiled the BCR Aula Austria study room within the Free International University of Moldova (ULIM). The room gives students access to equipment that will enable them to study at international standards.
The support offered by BCR Chisinau, in partnership with the Austrian embassy in Moldova, allowed a study room in ULIM the to be equipped with proper technical equipment, including multimedia, audio and video systems, that will facilitate the application of advanced interactive teaching methods based on the internet.
The launch of the BCR Aula Austria study room is among the most significant initiatives undertaken by a private company in support of the education system in Moldova and one of considerable value as regards human resources. BCR Chisinau began operating as a universal commercial bank in Moldova on Oct. 22, 1998, with statutory capital of MDL 24 million lei - an amount since increased to the current total of MDL 342,750,000.
