Russian gas price in second half of 2009 could be lower
Moldova anticipates that the price of Russian natural gas in the second half of 2009 would be reduced thanks to the lower oil prices on the international stock exchanges. Such a forecast was made by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Trade Igor Dodon at a Moscow news conference.
According to Dodon, the reduction in natural gas prices was discussed at a meeting of the Moldovan delegation and the administration of Gazprom on November 6.

The minister said that the decrease in oil prices on the world stock exchanges will undoubtedly lead to the reduction in the selling price of natural gas.
Dodon said that now Moldova purchases Russian gas for US$280 per 1,000 cubic meters, which is the highest level in the CIS. REPORTER.MD
