Transdniestria to make crude oil stores
The Transdniestrian region plans to make its own crude oil stores so as to have alternative fuel in case of gas crisis.
According to the local economy minister Elena Chernenko, Transdniestria must store crude oil for at least 10-20 days so as to avoid crisis situations.
The minister expressed regret at the fact that when the Transdniestrian boiler houses switched to natural gas, the equipment that used crude oil was removed. She also said that the crude oil stores made in 1996 have been used up. Therefore, the residential buildings remained without heat in the dead of winter following the disruption of gas supplies
