Transdniestria’s debt for Russian gas rose 8.3%

Transdniestria’s debt for Russian gas, including penalties, at end-June came to US$1.606,2 billion, up US$123.7 million or 8.3%.

According to the Transdniestrian republican bank, the debt for gas makes up over 2/3 of the total debt of Transdniestria. The debt per capita is about US$2,900.

Representatives of Moldova-Gaz said earlier that the debt of Moldova-Gaz , which manages all the contracts for the supply of gas to Moldova, in June 2008 totaled US$1.179,1 billion, without penalties. Out of this sum, Transdniestria’s debt was US$1.018,5 billion.

Moldova’s debt without penalties was US$160.6 million. REPORTER.MD
