Transnistria has higher retiring pensions comparing to last year

The average old-age pension in Transnistria during January to September 2011 was about 1,005 Transnistrian rubles. The number is higher with 19.7% compared with the first nine months of 2010, Info-Prim Neo news agency informs.

According to the source, the retiring pension is by 9.2% higher than the minimum subsistence level for pensioners in the region. The social pension is about 470 rubles.

The average monthly paycheck of an employee in Transnistria was 2.902 rubles in the period, up 1.5% compared with January - September 2010. In budget-funded jobs, the average payment was about 1.900 rubles.

One euro can be bought for 11 rubles, while 1 dollar for 8.34 rubles. The ruble is the currency of Transnistria.
