Transnistrian industry shows growth
Transnistrian industry has turned out goods on 3.741 billion lei (US$404.6 million) at January-June, which represents 132.6% in current prices, 121.3% - in comparable prices and 127.1% - in US$ compared to the analogous period of 2009.
The electric power industry remains the key branches of Transnistria - 1.31 billion roubles; although this is 97% of 2009 January-June profit (in comparable prices).
The old leader - iron industry doubled the production - to 1.222 billion lei, light industry - by 29.9% - to 443.1 million, food industry - by 8.8% - to 359.9 million roubles. The forestry and timber industry suffers a setback by 39.6% - to 1.467 million lei.
Infotag's dossier: In 2009 Transnistria has reduced production by over a quarter - to 6.436 billion roubles by the reason of crisis. In US$ it amounts 720.2 million (-31%).
