Unite acquired 6,500 subscribers in a month of activity
The mobile communication operator, Unite, that is a integral part Moldtelecom, says it attracted 6,500 subscribers in its first month of activity. The mobile telephony network operated in CDMA 2000 standard was launched on 1 March 2007.
The operator announces that the most demanded offers among individuals are as follows: Proximo, Amigo, Unite, Activo, and Benefit. Netrapido, which offers a three-time better speed than dial-up, and due to EV-DO technology access to Internet has a speed of up to 2.4 MBps, is also very popular among Internet service users.
Iurie Ungureanu, Moldtelecom Advisor, also specified for BASA-press that Unite offers are popular "due to its advantageous tariffs on subscriptions and calls, as well as due to the inclusion of monthly bonuses with free minutes in the packs".
According to Ungureanu, the services Unite offers are accessible for all social categories of the population. The offers include a combination of voice and data services, which represent an efficient solution for communication with family, business partners, the Moldtelecom advisor also said.
The same source said that in the near future Unite will launch new products on the mobile communication market.
At present, there are three mobile telephony operators in Moldova: Voxtel and Moldcell operating in the GSM 900 standard, and Moldtelecom, operating in the CDMA 2000 standard, using 450 MHz frequency.
