USA launches training courses for Moldovan business people
The US embassy in Chisinau launched new training courses for Moldovan business people during a seminar today. The American specialists explained to the Moldovan partners how to benefit from economic training in agriculture, processing industry and services.
" Prime Minister Vlad Filat, who attended the event, noted that "there are already important American companies in Moldova, which, besides investments, have brought in a high-value model of business management," Vlad Filat said.
Referring to the new training programmes, the US Ambassador to Moldova, Asif Chaudhry, said that "the agriculture sector has a 30- per-cent share in the Moldovan economy and therefore, we decided that the trade relations between Moldova and the USA could develop better in this field". He explained that specialists of medium and high level from Moldovan agricultural companies could learn new methods of doing business in the USA during two-three weeks; afterwards they could apply their knowledge in Moldova.
Chaudhry said that the USA is the top third investor in Moldova. According to data by the Moldovan government, in 2010, the trade exchanges between the two countries increased to 93.8 million dollars.
