Volkswagen to equip its key models with SIRIUS
Sirius Satellite Radio has struck a deal with Volkswagen’s US division that starting with 2008 its receivers will be included as standard equipment in various VW vehicles.
Adrian Hallmark, executive vice president of Volkswagen of America said that the fact that the company plans to offer Sirius as standard equipment in select models proves VW’s commitment to the customer and to technology that enhances driving pleasure and enjoyment in every sense. "Sirius Satellite Radio helps to enhance the driving experience and Volkswagen ownership pride.", added he.
Volkswagen has exclusively offered SIRIUS beginning with its 2007 model year vehicles and expects to equip approximately 80% of its vehicles with SIRIUS satellite radio receivers.
