Some gas filling stations increased diesel oil price and reduced the price for all types of gasoline
For the first time in the business history on the car petrol market of Moldova a part of the gas filing stations changed gasoline and diesel oil prices while other operators remained in waiting.
On Thursday several gas filling stations increased by over 5% the diesel oil price and reduced by about 2.5% the price for all types of gasoline. Thus, the price for 1 liter of diesel oil increased from 11.86 lei up to 12.50 lei. At the same time, the price for the most demanded type of gasoline, A95, dropped by 0.33 lei, from 13.54 lei down to 13.21 lei. Similar reductions were operated for the other types of gasoline. Asked by BASA-press, the operators that changed the prices stated that the change was dictated by the growing consumption of diesel oil on the international market. At the same time, the representatives of the gas filling stations that sell fuel at the old prices will shift to the new prices over the coming days. Earlier, the economic agents that trade with car fuels stated they will raise the diesel oil price by 5-6% because most gas filling stations have exhausted the old stocks purchased before the sudden raise of petrol quotations at the international exchanges and are now importing in Moldova fuel at higher prices. According to importers, the import diesel oil price, depending on its quality, varies between 11.50 and 12.30 lei per litre, and the sale price in gas filling stations is of 11.86 lei. The last fuel price change in Moldova happened in November 2007. Back then the diesel oil price increased by 11%, and the gasoline price grew by 7%. At present, the retail sale price of 1 litre of A95 gasoline is of 13.53 lei (1.21 USD), and of 1 litre of diesel oil is of 11.86 lei (1.06 USD). // BASA-Press Publication date: 06 March 2008 Source: Archive ADsRelated links- Lower oil imports following rises in world oil prices - Gasoline and diesel oil price raised by 0.60 lei per litre - Analysis: Austria’s OMV utilizing and sabotaging the EU at the same time - Analysis: OMV joins with Gazprom to undercut Nabucco - Oil in slight gain to $92.70 - Oil continues rise, hits $94.79 - Oil rises after declining on U.S. outlook - Oil closes below $88 on inventories data - U.S. factory orders climb 0.5 percent - Oil prices continue downward trend Latest news
