Government fixes procedure for evaluation and sale of enterprises’ unused assets
The Government fixed the method for the evaluation and sale of enterprises’ unused assets.
Buildings, computer facilities, equipment, vehicles, unfinished construction, other assets, if they have not been used for a long time or if their use is not profitable, are subject to sale. At the same time, premises of state and municipal enterprises, commercial societies with a 100% participation of the state capital and public building do not fell under this provision. Heads of enterprises, wishing to sell their unused assets, must receive permissions from local authorities. If an enterprise is included in List ¹1 of objects, which must be privatized, they must receive permissions from the Public Property Agency. Unused assets may be sold exclusively by auction. If the estimated price exceeds 50 thousand lei, auctions must be conducted through the universal commodity exchange. The price of unused assets is fixed by the Auction Commission with taking into consideration enterprises’ proposals, but for the price, which is not less than the price, determined by a licensed estimator. Assets, which are not sold for 12 months at auctions, can be offered at auction for a fall. In contrast to the previous provision, the provision, approved by the Government on Wednesday does not allow the sale of assets directly, as this method is considered to be not transparent procedure. // Infotag Publication date: 20 March 2008 Source: Archive ADsRelated links- Tax privileges only insufficient for creating favorable business environment - U.S. retail sales growth rises 0.2 percent - New home sales show increase - Existing-home sales fall in September - Pending U.S. home sales at 6 1/2-year low - New home sales hit seven-year low - Stocks show gains amid mixed reports - U.S. existing-home sales fall 4.3 percent - U.S. stocks close mixed - Retailers expect slower holiday sales Latest news
