The general meeting of shareholders of the Gasprombank (Tiraspol) decided to increase its authorized capital by USD1.5 million up to USD7 million.

It was made possible after the successful implementation of all the commercial plans for 2007.

The bank’s profit for 2007 constituted USD1.13 million – by 24% more against 2006. The profitability of the assets increased up to 1.23% and the capital profitability – up to 20.5%.

The bank took the second place among the Transnistrian banks in the credit portfolio size. The crediting volume increased for a year 1.4-fold.

According to the bank’s administration the main crediting economy branches are industry and agriculture, whose share in the total credit portfolio constituted 72%.

In the deposit portfolio size the bank became the regional leader, it occupies one fourth of the local market of money transfers.

The Gasprombank serves about 780 juridical persons and 30 physical persons.

The Chairman of the Gasprombank shareholders is the Transnistrian President’s son Oleg Smirnov, who is also a member of the Supreme Council and the Chairman of the Patriotic Party. The bank’s President is Olga Merkushina, who replaced Oleg Smirnov’s wife Marina Smirnova on this post. All the Gasprombank’s rapid money transfer systems are Russian.  // Infotag
