Gasoline and diesel oil price raised by 0.60 lei per litre
Moldovan gas stations increased on Thursday, May 1, the gasoline and diesel oil prices by about 0.60 lei (4%). This is the third fuel price raise this year. Thus, the price of 1 litre of diesel oil increased from 13.2-13.25 lei up to 13.8-13.85 lei, and the price of A 95 gasoline increased from 13.2-13.25 lei up to 13.8-13.85 lei per litre. Similar price raises were registered for the rest of the types of gasoline.
Asked by BASA-pess, fuel market operators stated that the price changes are caused by the instable situation on the international market, where essential petrol quotation raises are registered. The operators say that in these circumstances the fuel prices on the internal market cannot be preserved, because such a situation entails essential losses in the conditions when the old stocks of gasoline and diesel oil had been exhausted. This week WTI petrol price at the New York Stock Exchange got closer to the record quotation of 120 USD/barrel, by about 20% up against the beginning of the year. According to Chisinau media, the import price at the customs exceeded 1,150 USD/tonne for diesel oil and 975 USD/tonne for gasoline, 5-10% up against a month ago, when the last price changes for petrol products produced. Earlier, petrol companies operating in Moldova warned that the price for petrol products will increase because of the petrol price raises on the international market. The last price change for petrol products in Moldova happened in the second decade of March, when the diesel oil price raised by 0.7 lei/litre, from 12.50-12.55 lei up to 13.2-13.25 lei/litre. In exchange, gasoline cheapened insignificantly by 0.10-0.15 lei/litre. // BASA-Press Publication date: 02 May 2008 Source: Archive ADsRelated links- Some gas filling stations increased diesel oil price and reduced the price for all types of gasoline - Government made stricter requirements for goods import by natural persons - In January 2008 consumption price index in Moldova increased by 1.5% - Government approves regulations on sale of public property shares at stock exchange … - The World Bank and ROSSTA confirm that Moldova registers the biggest price raises - Analysis: Austria’s OMV utilizing and sabotaging the EU at the same time - Analysis: OMV joins with Gazprom to undercut Nabucco - Congratulation of Mos Craciun up to one hundred dollars - 'Embedded giving' questioned - Oil in slight gain to $92.70 Latest news
