Crude oil prices settled slightly on the New York Mercantile Exchange Monday as the dollar posted gains against the euro and yen.

The dollar traded up at 103.95 yen in the morning while the euro traded at $1.5449.

Crude oil prices eased down 68 cents to $125.28 per barrel. Heating oil prices fell 0.015 cents to $3.621 per gallon. The price of reformulated gasoline blendstock fell 0.0172 cents to $3.184 per gallon. Natural gas prices rose 0.069 cents to $11.606 per million British thermal units.

The price at the pump climbed to a national average record $3.718 for a gallon of unleaded, up from Sunday's price of $3.707 a gallon, AAA reported.
