Foreign currency reserves have decreased

The foreign currency reserves of the National Bank of Moldova on May 8 came to US$1.435,759 billion. They had decreased by US$2.127 million over a week.

According to the central bank, about US$319.915 million of the foreign currency reserves was kept in securities, while US$1.114,805 billion in deposits and funds available.

The central bank’s foreign currency reserves totaled US$1.437,886 billion on April 30, US$1.447.892 million on April 25, US$1.432,681 billion on April 18, US$1.428,175 billion on April 11,US$1.415,6 billion on April 4, US$1.424 billion on March 31.

Late last year, the reserves added up to US$1.333,686 billion. They exceeded US$1 billion for the first time at end-August 2007 // Reporter.MD
