Belarus is in favor of hastening the setting up of a Moldovan-Belarusian tractor plant, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Moldova Vasili Sacovici told Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanyi at a meeting.

“This project would benefit the Belarusian partners that want to extend their production capacities as well as Moldova as there would be created over 2,000 workplaces and the tractors could be exported to more than 40 countries,” the ambassador said. The joint company will be crated instead of the tractor plant Tracom SA.

Trade between Moldova and Belarus in 2007 was US$226 million. This year, it is projected to reach US$300 million// Reporter.MD
